Forli Ristorante, Alamo
Tucked in a small shopping center this delightful trattotia is a surprising slice of Italy in "downtown" Alamo. The menu is an eclectic fusion of Northern and Southern Italian cuisine.
It is ably orchestrated by Gabriele Davanzante, a native Italian from Barletta, Puglia and Russ Belleci a Sicilian American born & raised very closely to his heritage in nearby Pittsburg. They are an interesting and fun juxtaposition of native Italian and Italian - American hospitality.
The two combine to create an energy for 'la dolce vita" and a love for food that immediately puts the diner in mind of a small family owned trattoria somewhere in the middle of "the boot".
Osso Buco, Braised Lamb...
Signature dishes are Osso Buco, Braised Lamb Shank, Filet of Sole in a wine & lemon butter sauce and any veal dish. Forli also has a formidable Pasta and Pizza menu to please any craving for Italian food.
Hospitality and good food are trademarks of this new attitude at Forli. Give 'em a try.
Open Monday - Friday for lunch at 11:30 am and dinner every day at 4:30 pm. The New Forli Ristorante in Alamo also boasts of the only dining and dancing lounge this side of Walnut Creek.
