The History of Forli Ristorante in Alamo
There has been an Italian Restaurant in this location since the Early 1980's.
Originally designed and built by the Loreto family, "Loreto's" was featured in the book "Two Hundred Good Restaurants" by famed food critic Russ Riera. Subsequent iterations have been "Cioni's" and "Forli" both of which were known in the area for fine Italian food.
Forli was purchased by Gabrielle and Amy Davanzante in 2006. Shortly thereafter, they were joined by long time Alamo resident and regular customer, Russ Belleci. They are creating a reputation for fine Italian dining with an "old style" family atmosphere reminiscent of days gone by.
Re-named " The New Ristorante Forli", regular guests are greeted as family members and first time diners are treated as if they have been part of the family for years.
Guests are encouraged to linger at table, sometimes having Gabe or Russ or friendly wait staff pulling up a chair and visiting, telling a favorite joke or even spontaneously singing an Old Italian song.
